Ron Lowy, Co-Chair
Mr. Lowy joined the Pharmajet Board of Directors as Co-Chairman in October 2011. He is an investor as well as Chairman of the RAL Group, LLC, a technology management consulting group. He has more than 30 years of experience managing and growing technology based global businesses.
Mr. Lowy serves on the Boards of a variety of Medical technology companies including The Intellitec Medical Institute, BiOpix inc., Micro Imaging Systems and Helicos Biosciences. He served as the interim CEO of Helicos in 2009/10. Previous to that Mr. Lowy served as the President and CEO of Fisher Biosciences, a division of Fisher Scientific, Mr. Lowy was responsible for 14 business units with more than 5,000 employees in 56 locations in 100 countries around the world. Before joining Fisher Biosciences, Mr. Lowy was President of Global Connectivity Solutions for ADC Telecommunications. He also served as president and Chief Operating Officer at the KRONE Group where he was responsible for all facets of this global business unit. Mr. Lowy spent the first 15 years of his career in operations, technology and general management positions at GE Medical Systems where he was intimately involved with the development and commercialization of Computerized Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Systems. Mr. Lowy earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin and a bachelor’s of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
Heather Callender-Potters, Co-Chair
Investor, with hands on role in international business development, corporate governance, and shareholder relations. 20 years of Private Equity fund management and international investment (BCEE; Enterprise Investors) across multiple jurisdictions, she has managed investments, including individual investments and financial investor consortiums, ranging from $1 million to an excess of $100 million. Board positions among several companies have touched a variety of industries ranging from auto-parts, to systems integration, publishing, and light-manufacturing. MBA from Wharton, the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.A. in International Management from Claremont McKenna College.
President of Hearthstone Investments. He holds a B.A. and L.L.B. from the University of Alberta.
Principal of Kulik Investments, a private investment fund focused on early stage venture and private equity investments. Formerly Mr. Duncan was with Goldman Sachs and he holds a B.S. from Yale University.
Investor. Operational leadership and entrepreneur in Europe and North America in health, media, telecommunications, entertainment and real estate. MBA from IMD, Lausanne and BA in Economics from McGill University, Montreal.
James A. Bowman
Mr. Bowman has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, as a graduate of the HBS OPM program. Jim’s career in medical devices spans more than 25 years focused on commercialization of innovative early-stage technologies. He has held senior leadership positions in growing life science companies including CEO of public and private companies. Jim has driven business development of disruptive technologies in companies such as, C.R. BARD, OHMEDA, Encision, and Surgical Laser Technologies.
Mr. Buckley has a background as a commercial real estate developer, with investments spanning from West to East coasts in the US, and Canada, from his Colorado office. He is an active angel investor in high- tech and bio-tech companies in Canada and the U.S., which includes medical devices and tools that aid in drug delivery and diagnostic activities. He is an active board participant, locally, in the Corridor Business Improvement District and Colorado Veterinary Medical Foundation. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado.
