James A. Bowman, President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Bowman has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, as a graduate of the HBS OPM program. Jim’s career in medical devices spans more than 25 years focused on commercialization of innovative early-stage technologies. He has held senior leadership positions in growing life science companies including CEO of public and private companies. Jim has driven business development of disruptive technologies in companies such as, C.R. BARD, OHMEDA, Encision, and Surgical Laser Technologies.
Jeffrey A. Jordan, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Jordan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a MBA from the University of Maryland. Jeff has more than 19 years of experience in corporate finance. In his previous role, he directed the global finance functions for the Laboratory Products Group of Thermo Fisher Scientific, supporting $1.9B in annual revenue and 10,000 employees. Jeff has worked in several industries including life science tools, telecommunications and industrial chemicals. He has extensive experience in strategic planning, forecasting, significant capital investments, acquisitions and integration activities.
Michael Royals, DVM, Chief Science Officer and Global Head of Applications Development
Dr. Royals holds a doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Colorado, and specializes in clinical research. Prior to joining PharmaJet, he was the founder and chief scientist of Bio-Logistics, a pre-clinical product development company which helped develop medical devices using animal models. Michael has substantial experience in efficacy studies, model development for clinical trials, and GLP studies. Prior to founding Bio-Logistics Michael was Study Director for B. Braun Medical, where he coordinated activities of toxicology research and directed pre-clinical programs related to regulatory submissions. Michael also worked as clinical researcher at the Colorado State University, where he conducted vaccine efficacy trials.
Philip Vorwald, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer
Mr. Vorwald has over 28 years experience in the biosciences / medical device industry. Phil spent 20 years with Becton Dickinson (BD), where he held positions in Sales, Marketing and General Management in both the U.S. and Europe. He served as Vice-President of BD Biosciences Europe and later as VP of BD Biosciences Asia Pacific / Latin America. He later served in executive roles with startups such as Guava Technologies and Cytonome. As CCO Phil manages all commercial aspects of product sales, marketing and customer support. Phil has a Bachelor of Science from Catholic University and a Master of Science from Medical College of Virginia.
Chris Cappello, Vice President Technology & Product Development
Chris has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University and his PMP certification. Chris has years of experiential Medical Device development and Project/Program Management experience. Chris has managed multiple cross functional teams and departments in the successful design, development, clearance and launch of both reusable & high volume disposable medical devices. Chris is responsible for managing all development projects & company programs throughout the development life cycle.
